DEREK CARLSON

Derek is a recent graduate of Coal City High School. A three-sport varsity athlete, Derek has not only exceeded in the athletic arenas, but also behind the camera and onstage.

He has worked behind the camera on NBC's Chicago Fire, done commercial photoshoots, and most recently filmed Season 1 of Pleasant High. His charisma and positive attitude are an asset to any working environment.

He was a part of the 2022 and 2023 Illinois All State Musicals Productions, and performed as Dmitry in Coal City High School's production of Anastasia, which garnered him a 2023 Illinois High School Musical Theatre Award Best Actor Nomination, which was his second nomination, after being nominated for Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera in 2022. He will be attending Illinois State University in the fall to major in Musical Theatre.
